Get ready for a fresh start in the morning radio scene! 98.9 The Bull is shaking things up with a brand-new morning show, and it's got everyone talking.
Introducing "Tanner & Friends," a morning show hosted by the talented Tanner Chambers. This exciting debut marks a significant shift for KPNW-FM Seattle, a Hubbard Broadcasting Country station. Tanner, a Puyallup, WA native, brings his unique brand of energy and local connection to the airwaves.
But here's where it gets interesting: Tanner's journey to 98.9 The Bull is quite the tale. He began his radio career as a producer and writer for the popular syndicated shows "The Hit List with Fitz" and "Fitz in the Morning" at Audacy Country's 100.7 The Wolf in Seattle. And now, he steps into the shoes of the legendary Fitz himself! Tanner's previous experience includes hosting mornings at Townsquare Media's K99 in Fort Collins, CO, from July 2023 to November 2025, and four years in mornings at Country's Froggy 92.9 and afternoons on CHR's Hot 101.7 in Santa Rosa, CA.
VP/Market Manager Nick Beyer couldn't be more thrilled, stating, "Tanner coming home feels right. He embodies the future of Seattle morning radio, with his authenticity, local roots, and an incredible ability to connect with listeners. We're heading in the right direction with him on board."
Operations Manager/Brand Content Director Scott Mahalick further emphasized, "Tanner's show captures the essence of what we want mornings on The Bull to be - heartwarming, relatable, and deeply rooted in our region. His voice is the PNW, and we're excited to have him on our team."
So, what do you think? Is Tanner & Friends the breath of fresh air Seattle morning radio needs? Or is it just another show? We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments! Feel free to share your opinions and engage in a friendly debate. After all, radio is all about connecting and sparking conversations.
