Get ready for an exciting season ahead as Matt Stone Racing unveils its new driver line-up and fresh liveries! This is a moment that racing enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting.
Today, at the Distillery Road Market in Eagleby, Queensland, just a stone's throw from the team's Yatala headquarters, the new liveries were revealed, setting the stage for an action-packed year.
One of the most notable changes is the return of Sherrin Rentals, who will be sponsoring full-time alongside driver Le Brocq. This marks a significant shift from their previous wildcard efforts with Aaron Seton and Cameron Crick in 2025.
But here's where it gets interesting: Tyrepower, a key minor sponsor, has also made a comeback, choosing to follow Le Brocq back to MSR after his stint at Erebus Motorsport. Tyrepower has a history with the team, having been a major backer in 2024, featuring on Cameron Hill's car.
Le Brocq's return to the team is a bit of a homecoming, considering his successful run with the team in 2023, which included a memorable win at Hidden Valley, his second career victory.
"I'm thrilled to be back with Matt and the team," Le Brocq said. "Our win in Darwin in 2023 was a highlight, and I'm excited to channel Matt's relentless drive to push the team forward."
Braking component manufacturer Bendix, a familiar face as the major backer of car #10, is back with a new driver, rookie sensation Zach Bates. Bates replaces Nick Percat, who has moved on to become a co-driver at Triple Eight.
The blue livery remains largely the same, with only minor design tweaks and some refreshed minor sponsorships.
Bates, the 2024 Super2 Series winner, made a few wildcard appearances in the Supercars Championship in 2025, notably finishing the Bathurst 1000 in 10th place alongside racing legend Craig Lowndes.
"The past couple of years have been incredible," Bates shared. "Winning the Super2 championship and partnering with Craig Lowndes were highlights. Now, I'm eager to take on the challenge of joining Matt Stone Racing and learning from the best."
Team owner Matt Stone emphasized the significance of this year, stating, "We've invested heavily in our team during the off-season to accelerate our growth and reach the pinnacle of success."
"There's an electric atmosphere in our workshop this year," he continued. "The entire team is focused on achieving success both on and off the track. I'm incredibly proud of the direction we're heading, and I can't wait for the racing to begin in Sydney later this month."
The Repco Supercars Championship season kicks off with the Dunlop Sydney 500 at Sydney Motorsport Park on February 20-22. Get ready for an exhilarating start to the season!
