In a statement, Greenland Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen and four party leaders emphasized their desire for Greenland to remain independent and free from foreign influence. They stated, "We don’t want to be Americans, we don’t want to be Danes, we want to be Greenlanders."
Trump's proposal to acquire Greenland has sparked controversy, with the White House considering military options to achieve this goal. Greenland's leaders, however, remain steadfast in their stance. They assert that the island's future should be determined by the Greenlandic people, free from external pressure and interference.
