The scene required Gilpin to be positioned beneath a table, with fake prosthetic legs and a puppeteer controlling the animatronic baby's birth. The sound effects added to the realism, with Gilpin describing it as "insane."
But the real challenge came after the scene was shot. Gilpin explained, "The reset process was a bit of a nightmare. The puppeteers had to reach through my prosthetic vagina to retrieve the placenta and baby, which was a very delicate and awkward process. It's definitely not something you see every day on a film set!"
